When I use a slot, I mark the same number directly under it's 'default,' so the first time I cast a lvl 1 I put a 1 under the leftmost 1, shen I cast another I put a 1 under the next to leftmost 1, when I cast a lvl 2 I put a 2 under the leftmost 2, and so on. Any other limited use abilities I’ll write down in that page and put a bead on so I’ll know if it is available or I already used it. When I cast a spell, I’ll take a bead of the appropriate level and put on a caddy. I then take a glass bead I got at the craft store and put on each of the numbers. I keep track of spell slots by drawing a chart of the spell slots I have so something like: Prepared spells are stored in my spell slot tracker. Spellbook spells are kept inside my gaming notebook so I can access them but won’t easily see them during combat. Unknown spells go back in my backpack and are inaccessible during play.
